« Luther » est le troisième titre du sixième album studio de Kendrick Lamar, GNX, et a été publié plus tard en tant que troisième single. Il s'agit de sa sixième collaboration avec son amie de longue date SZA.

Le titre est tiré de la chanson « If This World Were Mine » de Luther Vandross, fortement échantillonnée.

La chanson est construite sur des instruments luxuriants et des échanges lyriques fluides et sans effort, mettant en évidence l'alchimie notoire entre SZA et Kendrick.

Dans les couplets de Kendrick, il parle d'un monde où la douleur et les conflits sont éradiqués, remplacés par la lumière et l'autonomisation de son amante, et de la façon dont elle lui permet de garder les pieds sur terre,
